About the Workshop
Tailored for nature photographers who want
to get the most from on camera flash.
Separate 3 hour indoor sessions cover use
of flash in automatic mode, manual mode and use of the "better
beamer". Aspects of flash usage specific to wildlife/ bird photography
are hi lighted.
High Speed sync, X sync, Guide number/range
calculation ( I calculate this for your particular setup), alignment, zoom
head, tilt, fill flash, ambient flash, Humming bird high speed flash, battery
packs, batteries, practical exposure compensation values for field work,
and much more. There is a lot to learn with modern flash and
you need to attend all three sessions! By breaking this up into weekly
sessions you have time to practice and digest the information before the
next session. Class size is 3-5 people.
You need to have an off camera flash (though
built in flash is covered), Digital SLR and a short lens (20-120 mm or
so). I strongly suggest purchasing a 'Better Beamer' flash extender or similar device specific
to your model of flash available from: http://www.naturescapes.net/store/home.php?cat=21
